Bard College Announces $10 Million Expansion for Center for Curatorial Studies Library
The Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in Upstate New York is expanding its library and archives facility with a new $10m addition named the Keith Haring Wing, thanks to a $3m contribution from the late Pop artist’s foundation. The expansion will double the facilities, adding a new classroom, study room, enlarged reading room, and additional storage space for 30,000 volumes. Construction is set to begin this summer and is expected to be completed by late 2025. The wing, designed by HWKN Architecture, will be supported by various foundations, including the Marieluise Hessel Foundation, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and the Martin and Rebecca Eisenberg Foundation.
