Hong Kong’s Inaugural Art021 Fair Set to Debut This Year

Hong Kong will be hosting a new art fair this summer, Art021 Hong Kong, as part of the Art021 family which includes events in Shanghai and Beijing. This new fair aims to change the traditional fair model by focusing on the art itself and creating an exhibition environment that is more engaging for both galleries and collectors. The fair will feature art from the historic Silk Road, with a mix of local and international galleries participating. Participants can expect a diverse range of artwork without any pre-exhibition review for political content. The event will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with plans to transition to the autumn in future years. The fair aims to attract mainland Chinese collectors and expand its reach to other regions in the future. The organizers have decided to suspend their autumn fair in Shenzhen for now, focusing on building the Art021 brand in Hong Kong.
