Gavin Brown donates gallery archive to Bard College
Art dealer Gavin Brown recently donated his gallery archive to the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in New York’s Hudson Valley. The collection includes artist files, catalogues, and exhibition histories from Brown’s 26 years in the art world. The gallery, which showcased important contemporary artists, closed in 2020. The archive will join other notable donations at CCS Bard, providing unparalleled insight into the contemporary art world. A selection of objects from the archive will be on display at Bard this summer as part of an exhibition exploring the impact of key figures in the art community since the 1990s.
