Hispanic Society of New York opens Goya Research Center

The Hispanic Society Museum & Library in New York is launching a Goya Research Center in anticipation of the 200th anniversary of Francisco Goya’s death in 2028. Led by Goya scholar Guillaume Kientz, the center aims to foster new research and appreciation for the Spanish artist’s work, particularly in New York museum collections. The center will focus on Goya’s impact on art history, with plans for symposiums, exhibitions, and a virtual museum. Supported by sponsors, the center seeks to collaborate with experts and expand its reach to museums across the US.
