Andrew Fabricant, Gagosian’s COO, Departs Gallery
Art world power couple Andrew Fabricant and Laura Paulson have both departed from their senior roles at Gagosian gallery. Founder Larry Gagosian announced their exits in an email to staff on Thursday. Fabricant, who had a long history with the gallery, returned in 2018 as its chief operating officer. Paulson, who helped launch Gagosian Art Advisory in 2019, focused on appraisals. Gagosian hinted at changes in the advisory business’s future. The departures come amid speculation about the gallery’s future and founder’s retirement. Gagosian expressed confidence in the gallery’s current state and future plans.
