The Campus, a new art complex in upstate New York, housed in a former school building, is now open to the public. Founded by six commercial galleries, the 78,000 sq. ft space features 40 exhibition rooms, climate-controlled storage areas, and expansive grounds. The inaugural exhibitions include a group show with over 80 artists, as well as showcases from Nxthvn fellows. The diverse installations throughout the building interact with the unique school setting, creating a memorable experience for visitors. The venue, although reminiscent of past art shows, aims to prioritize art over commercial pursuits. The space has already attracted a significant number of visitors, showcasing the community’s interest in the transformation of the historic building. The exhibitions at The Campus run until October 27th.
