Los Angeles Galleries Showcase Science in Upcoming Getty PST Art Programme
Los Angeles is buzzing with excitement as more than 40 galleries gear up to participate in this year’s PST Art program by the J. Paul Getty Trust. The initiative, focusing on the intersection of art and science, will feature exhibitions at top galleries such as LA Louver, Jeffrey Deitch, Commonwealth and Council, and more.
President Katherine E. Fleming expressed the significance of galleries in the art and culture ecosystem, promising thought-provoking shows by talented artists. Some highlights include Betye Saar’s captivating installation “Mojotech” at Roberts Projects and Jeffrey Deitch’s revisit of his renowned exhibition “Post Human.”
Various Small Fires will host an exhibition dedicated to environmental artists Newton and Helen Mayer Harrison, highlighting the Getty’s ambitious goal of rewriting art history through the lens of art and science. With a previous edition focused on Los Angeles and Latin America, the upcoming PST Art promises an engaging and enriching experience for art enthusiasts.
