Monira Al Qadiri Exhibition Debuts at Johann König’s New Munich Gallery in Former Power Plant
Berlin art dealer Johann König is set to open a new gallery space in a former thermal power plant on the outskirts of Munich, marking the company’s third gallery in Germany and its fifth worldwide. The former power plant, now named Bergson, has undergone extensive renovations to become a cultural hub, featuring bars, restaurants, a beer garden, and a concert hall. König Bergson, opening in two stages, will be one of the largest galleries for contemporary art in Germany. The first part, opening on May 7th, will showcase Monira Al Qadiri’s work. The gallery owner is excited about the unconventional space and the vibrant art community in Munich. In July, a new building with a bookshop will open for a large group exhibition. The gallery has a strong presence in Munich, with several artists previously exhibited in local venues.
