Sotheby’s Paris Moves to New Space in Historic Former Gallery

Sotheby’s is set to relocate its Paris headquarters to a new address this autumn to provide more space for its operations. The auction house will move to 83 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, gaining nearly 30% more exhibition space. The new location will feature a luxury showroom, private sales spaces, a cafe, and a wine cellar with a tasting area. The move comes as Sotheby’s also prepares to relocate its Hong Kong offices to a new space and move its New York headquarters to the Breuer building in 2025. The new Paris location was previously home to the historic Galerie Bernheim-Jeune. Sotheby’s Europe chairman Mario Tavella praised the new space as a destination in its own right that will showcase single-owner collections. Sotheby’s is rapidly expanding its global real estate, with plans to move to the Breuer building in New York and make cuts at other locations, including in London.
