Workers at Mass Moca Resume Duties After Three-Week Wage Dispute
Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass Moca) and its unionised workers (part of United Auto Workers Local 2110) have reached a tentative deal following a three-week strike. The agreement includes a new hourly minimum wage of $18, yearly salary increases, and improved working conditions for staff. Full-time employees can expect an average pay increase of 3.5% in each of the next two years, with overall wage increases ranging from 3.9% to 14.29%. The new contract also includes added benefits such as holiday pay and establishing overtime pay for shifts lasting more than ten hours. The new wages will go into effect within 30 days, retroactive to 1 January.
