Annina Nosei Donates Catalogues to Magazzino Italian Art in New York
Annina Nosei, the Italian-born gallerist who represented Jean-Michel Basquiat, has donated her gallery’s catalogues to Magazzino Italian Art’s Germano Celant Research Center in Cold Spring, New York, chronicling a significant period in art history. Nosei, known for supporting Neo-Expressionist painters, also worked with artists like Keith Haring and Jenny Holzer. Basquiat’s work continues to be in high demand, with a recent sale of an untitled piece from 1982 fetching $40.2m. Magazzino Italian Art, a museum in the Hudson Valley, focuses on post-war and contemporary Italian art.
