Former Nino Mier Director Megan Mulrooney to Open Gallery in Los Angeles Space

Former senior director of the embattled Nino Mier Gallery, Megan Mulrooney, is opening her own art gallery in Los Angeles. The gallery will focus on showcasing emerging and mid-career artists. Mulrooney’s decision comes after accusations of underpaying artists at her former workplace. The new gallery aims to support artists and contribute to the city’s vibrant art scene. Los Angeles-based artist Jon Pylypchuk will be a curatorial advisor for upcoming exhibitions. The gallery will open in September with solo shows by Marin Majic and Piper Bangs. Bangs expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Mulrooney and support emerging artists.
