Perrotin Withdraws from Dubai Gallery and Ends Secondary Market Collaboration in Paris

Emmanuel Perrotin, the founder of a global gallery brand, has ended his collaboration with art dealers Tom-David Bastok and Dylan Lessel. The trio had previously opened a gallery space in Paris’s 8th arrondissement focused on the secondary market. Perrotin has sold his shares in the Paris space and Perrotin Dubai to his former partners, who will now operate under the name Bastok Lessel. The new gallery will feature exhibitions dedicated to artists like Keith Haring, Warhol, and Basquiat. This change follows Colony Investment Management’s acquisition of a majority stake in Perrotin gallery in 2023. Despite the changes, Perrotin gallery will continue its secondary market activities and focus on upcoming projects such as the opening of Perrotin Los Angeles and artist participation in the Venice Biennale.
