Photofairs New York Fair Postponed Due to Market Conditions
Photofairs New York, the fair for lens-based and digital art that launched in September 2023 alongside The Armory Show, has announced the cancellation of its 2024 edition. Founded by Scott Gray of Creo Arts, the New York edition of the successful Shanghai fair has decided to forego this year’s event due to current market conditions. Former director Helen Toomer is no longer working with Photofairs according to her LinkedIn profile. The Creo Arts spokesperson mentioned that while there is significant interest and support for the New York fair, it is best to wait for market conditions to improve before resuming the event. The Shanghai edition of Photofairs will continue as planned, with the next edition set for 2025.
