Climate Activists Pledge to Keep Disrupting London’s Science Museum
Climate protesters recently occupied the Science Museum due to its sponsorship links with the Adani Group, a major coal producer. The demonstrators took issue with the museum’s partnership with a company that derives a significant portion of its revenue from coal, one of the most polluting fossil fuels. The protest led to the closure of the museum’s climate-change-focused gallery, causing a stir among both activists and trustees. Despite the backlash, the museum remains firm in its support of renewable energy initiatives sponsored by Adani Green Energy. The ongoing protests signal a growing concern over the role of institutions in promoting sustainability in the face of environmental challenges.
