Enjoyed this! I’m a relatively new artist and have found the flow state very interesting…feel as though I can’t take credit for what happens in that state. My best work isn’t my own and happens when I get out of my own way! Very interesting to observe.
I thought this guy’s name was familiar to me and then I saw one of his paintings featuring Monica and I love this artist’s work!
I can relate to what you are saying….
Haha yesss. The picture framing gig is honestly the best gig for a fine artist's trajectory. Nothing inspires a blossoming artist to get off their ass and hustle their own artwork like the torture of spending week after week cutting mats for Thomas Kincaid prints… for customers who could not stop elaborating why his work truly is the pinnacle of fine art, worldwide. Because, you know.. of the light. The light. He is a painter of light. Now frame it perfectly for me and make it snappy. Gah.
I love his green pigment from yellow and black
