Royal Academy Pulls Artworks from Young Artists’ Exhibition Amid Allegations of Antisemitism
Two works to be removed from the Young Artists’ Summer Show at the Royal Academy of Arts due to concerns raised by the Board of Deputies of British Jews. The decision comes after an open letter from the board’s vice-president expressed worries about the content of the artworks. The Royal Academy has confirmed the removal of two pieces from the exhibition to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for visitors, especially young people. The Board of Deputies highlighted the recent increase in antisemitic incidents and invited the RA’s leadership team to discuss the matter further.
